Over at BusinessWeek, they discuss the nature of mobile gaming music and sounds and where it is headed in the future. With more advanced mobile devices, higher sized files, and vast improvements in speakers, they predict that developers will ditch those tired old 5-minute MIDI sounds that loop endlessly, in favor of higher quality sound; possibly even MP3 audio.
There is a short mention near the end of the article of EA’s involvement with Apple in integrating games into the iPod and iPhone.
